Weight ManagementWeight Management Program Introduction: We offer a Medical Weight Management program that is individualized and customized for your specific needs. We utilize low calorie Optifast meal replacement formula as well as teaching you conscious eating techniques. Our program involves close physician supervision, individual and group counseling sessions, hormonal optimization, and nutrition education to help you achieve rapid weight loss and long term maintenance. This customized, comprehensive plan sets us apart from other commercial plans by offering direct physician supervision, personalized attention, and focusing on your long-term success. Our program is individualized to fit your specific needs. By combining close physician supervision with nutrition education, activity recommendations, lifestyle modification, metabolic optimization, and low calorie meal replacement formulas, we help you achieve rapid weight loss and long term weight management. Our customized and comprehensive program sets us apart by offering direct medical supervision, personalized attention through one-on-one guidance and support, and focus on your long-term success. Costs and How to Get Started: We require that anyone seriously considering the program schedule an initial consultation with Dr. Chen. During this appointment, Dr. Chen will evaluate your health status and whether you are an appropriate candidate for the program. This consultation is $75.00. After the initial consultation, and if it is determined that you will begin the program, a second appointment will be made with Dr. Chen to create a detailed, comprehensive, and personalized weight loss plan. This appointment is $75.00. At this point, patients will visit Dr. Chen twice monthly at a cost of $150.00 per month. Concurrent sessions with Marcelle Olsen, MA, MFT, who specializes in weight loss counseling, may be necessary. (A separate fee would apply.) Most patients utilize Optifast meal replacement products as part of their plan. The costs of the Optifast products – if they are part of your particular plan – are in addition to these monthly fees. All costs are due in full at the time of service. We do not bill insurance. Lab Work and Electrocardiogram Testing: Patients are required to have laboratory testing and an electrocardiogram done to help determine their candidacy for the program. Lab and ECG charges may be covered by your insurance. |
